Matheran is a small hill station in Maharashtra, located on the Sahyadri range of mountains, Western Ghats. Alexander point is located at most far-away hills and marks the end of the mountain range of Matheran. Alexander point is surrounded by evergreen forests on its one side and offers a perfect view of places like Rambag point, Gadbut point Palasdari Lake, Chowk Point, downhill village of Borgaon and the winding Ulhas River.

2.Echo Point:

Echo Point is one of the famous points of interest in Matheran hill station.it is located of 2.5 km distance from Matheran Railway Station. The most amazing beauty of this place is its echo effect that allows you to hear the echo of your own voice clearly. This point is situated in the midst of misty clouds and takes you in a unique state of trance.

Out of the 38 viewpoints that bless the hills of Matheran, Echo point is one of the most magnificent points.you can reach echo point by walk or pony from Matheran market area. It will take 30 minutes to reach this point.

3. Charlotte Lake:

Charlotte Lake is the most visited picnic spot in Matheran. This lake is popular for freshwater and scenic beauty, this water was filtered and supplying to the entire town of Matheran. Charlotte Lake is the single major source of water supply in the town of Matheran. Charlotte Lake is popular tourist destination is glorious during Monsoon and mostly gets dried up in summer season.

The bygone Pisarnath Mahadev Temple is located on the left bank of the lake. The two attractive viewpoints, Louisa point, and Echo point are located very close to this lake. Bird watching is also a well-liked activity at the lake, especially during early morning and evening.

4.One Tree Hill:

One Tree Hill Point is a popular tourist spot for trekking in Matheran, on the top of the mountain, a single Jambhul tree situated.
